Description

The RIVIPARTS Ultimate MagSafe Charging Power Kit for the Rivian R1T and R1S is the companion product to the Pad Kit. It allows you to use the OEM plug that powered the stock wireless charging pad. It includes the following

  • USB Power Block
  • USB Power Block cabling & double-sided tape
  • Molex connector & shrink wrap for solder connection
  • Terminal block & 3D Printed Terminal block sleeve for the screw-together option

    Please note that this product requires assembly. You'll be provided with parts to either solder the connecting cable, providing a more robust connection, or screw together the cable, which is a bit more fiddly but requires no soldering. 

    If you're planning to use the OEM Apple MagSafe pads with this product, you'll also need a USB-C to USB-A adapter. Unfortunately, they tend to be a little picky about what adapter works. We've qualified one and sell it here. 

    This product has not been tested with other aftermarket Rivian charging setups. It is use at your own risk.

    Worth it to keep the ports open

    I ordered the Magesafe pads with power kit. I soldered the leads vs. using the screws--it was simple and straight forward. I like having the center console ports available and this power kit keep the install clean (no visible cables). The one trick is to look at the photo on this website and note the power cable to the USB block tucks into an existing cutout. This leave a little more room for the other cables. I also added a small amount of stickyback 1/8 foam to make sure nothing rattles.

    This kit enabled a clean install and is a very functional addition to my (much loved) R1T!

    Works, but it was a tight fit.

    Would have been much easier to install if the DC plug was a right angle.

    The JSAUX Qi adapters get quite hot even with this open design. Time will tell how will it functions, especially on a long summer roadtrip.
